Dithr offers users a unique opportunity to revisit the aesthetics of 1980s and '90s computer graphics through the capture of photos and videos employing common pixel patterns and color palettes reminiscent of that era.

In contrast to modern displays capable of reproducing millions of colors with seamless precision, the early days of computing mandated the use of color-reduction techniques due to hardware limitations. Dithering, encompassing various methods to emulate intermediate colors by interspersing dots of fundamental hues in diverse configurations, became essential.
